With almost 25 years of practice, we developed the most meticulous authentication process in the resale marketplace.  Because we are a small local business, we have the capability to authenticate every single item that we sell.  We have worked tirelessly to gain and maintain the trust of our customers by creating a safe, reputable environment here in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

Our authenticators, gemologists, jewelers and watch makers all work diligently and are constantly innovating to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of inspection in order to keep fraudulent products out of the marketplace.  We stand behind our business and our customers.

Fine jewelry is first screened by our GIA certified gemologists.   The designer jewelry is then separated from the rest and sent to our authenticator for further research and examination.  Several factors are considered when determining the authenticity of designer jewelry pieces.  Our experienced authenticators look for designer signatures and hallmarks.  Hallmarks are the official stamps that identify the metal type, purity and origin of an item.  Our jeweler inspects the engraving and will review the quality and consistency with verified authentic examples.

The mechanical and aesthetic condition of each watch is examined by our certified watchmakers.  Luxury watches are created with additional components that serve as our four primary verification points:

   1.  Serial Number

   2.  Model Number

   3. Movement Number and Signature

   4.  Case ID

We are proud to share that, after 24 years of business, we have never sold a counterfeit watch.

Before an item is listed, our authenticators separate designer handbags from all other designer pieces since there is a higher probability of counterfeit goods.  Depending on the brand, market value, and fashion category, designer handbags are sent to master authenticators who have years of experience and expertise in identifying the designer’s own unique logos, engravings and stitching.

All employees receive training to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to authenticate merchandise.  Items are sent to different employees based on their area of expertise.  If any person has doubts about their ability to determine authenticity, an item is sent to a master authenticator for review.
